Frequently asked questions

What age can you start to train?

Some of our students start karate from as young as 5 or 6. In exceptional cases we sometimes take 4 year olds. Karate requires concentration which very young children find difficult but come along for a free taster session and see how it goes!

Where are the classes held?

All classes are held at The Grammar, Marlborough Road, Bowdon, Altrincham WA14 2RS.

Do you offer a free taster session?

Yes we do. We want students to really want to train with us before they join the club and this is an opportunity to do just that.

What equipment and clothing do I need?

No special clothing is needed for the taster session although we usually lend prospective students a gi (uniform) so they feel part of the club right from the get go. Once a student joins the club he or she must wear gi to train.

Are your classes suitable for beginners?

Our 5-00 classes are suitable for beginners of all ages. Come along and give this exciting martial art a try.
